Seasons Greetings!

Seasons.. Can you believe it. It's supposed to be winter but we get spring.
I was told that that was what Indian summers are like in Utah. Get few weeks of nice weather and then a few days of bad. I was told once by one of my old timer friends once that if there weren't snow in them peaks in july we'd be out of water by the dead of winter. Considering we're the second dryest state in the Union I can understand the reason why.
For me I like snow. It's still one of my favorites. Some how the dreary fall just doesn't do after a while and a good storm or two puts me in the mood.

Pleasant Grove Dance

We're two months into our new year and wow has it been fun. We've been doing two dances a month now and things have been hopping.
February was a stellar month it seams that; that cupid guy comes to haunt and everyone comes out for a night. We had nearly 200 people for the Valentines weekend. Such great fun.
Plenty of new faces both old, young and single..
We have done a little re-arranging of things. To help organize things better we've pushed to 8:30 for our lessons, and started the dance at 9:15. It gives you that few extra minutes to rush that front desk and make the lessons.

School Fund Raisers
|
|
|
We're looking for students and student organizations that need fund raisers for school. This is a great opportunity to earn extra cash for clubs, trips, charities, etc. We offer portions of our ticket sales for help in bringing new members to the dance.
For information on setting up a charity night please contact us at "info AT westerndance.org". We can also provide tickets, fliers, and hand bills for the events you sponsor for a small fee. This will help you get the word out in short order and provide a professional look.

Second and Fourth Saturday Dances
|
|
|
The club has officially changed schedules to a twice monthly dance on the Second and Fourth Saturday beginning in January. This means a better chance to meet up with friends and have a grand night. We hope you'll take the opportunity when we send out our event invites to rsvp, and invite friends. We've had great turn outs and hope you you'll join us for these great Saturday night get downs..

Events
|
|
|
Club events are a great way to do a little something different. These are dances which should add fun to an already great dance. We're working out the details of some very large projects. We invite you to visit our events page on the website to find out about all the up coming nights we have scheduled. We'll post these events one to two weeks in advance so that you can schedule a night to visit.
We do not intend to put a lot of detail on the page directly. With competition and everyone looking for new ways to draw people to their dances we want to keep our projects in the "skunk works" until we are ready have them.

Discounts, Passes, and Fun

Many have noticed our Free nights. These have been a lot of fun and we look forward to doing them in the future.
We do however offer some fun ways that you can attend the dance with limited expense.
